Ah yes, for some reason I thought it was V6 or V8   :-[

But yeah, I can't see the 4 potter holding it's value well, imagine a 2.2 4 pot Monaro  ::) ;D

What is this weird fetish with V8s? It's only an engine.

And you do know that it's a 310hp 4 pot, not the weedy thing that Vx foisted on the Omega?
The biggest reason not to buy it is that the 5.0l is only a couple of grand more expensive

You'll understand when you own one  ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have. And used many more.

Cheaper option than a new VXR8 these Mustangs for the time being anyway, The Monaro/VXR8 where around the £30k+ region at one point.

Discounted to £23,995 in 2009...

Camero is a better car and around £35K for the 6.2 iirc 8)

It does, even though it's not a looker. That, and I'm missing about £32,950

Damn straight. I prefer the arse end of this one but the front end of the previous generation.

Very nearly bought a LHD Boss 302 from the US for a song ($29k, one owner, 10k miles) if I thought they would be sellable over here (as the Boss 302 never made it to RHD). Decided against it.

Went to Goodwood a few weeks ago to find a company importing the LHD special editions; they had a 2012 GT500 for the tasty sum of £80k.

Perhaps I should have imported it after all..

I've never actually seen a vxr8 on the road.

Fair few round these parts. Older ones could almost be described as subtle, but the more recent ones....

I have, but admittedly it wasn't the latest shape. Not really suprised. You'd have to be insane to buy one.

I'd rather have a car that has actually been designed rather than slung together...  ...but new RWD saloons are thin on the ground if you rule out BMW (because I'm not a idiot) and Merc (because I'm not that daft)

Phantom it is then.  Cos everything else is made to a cost and is subsequently sh1t in some way or another.

The E63 doesn't share the "brick on ball bearings" handling of almost every other merc.

Yep.

£50,000.......No way.

£28,000.......seems more realistic. I mean, we are not talking cutting edge technology. So why so expensive?.
