I see cars with a hundred cuddly toys on both the front and rear shelves driving around, I doubt they remove them for the MOT and, probably, just get a word to the wise after the test. So you're right, it's not funny, it's over-zealous shite.

The evening following that "incident", I was watching one of those pikey coop chase shows, and they had so many gonks shoved all over the windscreen, and I get an MOT refusal for one poxy air freshener that barely dangled from the mirror due to the angle the autodip mirrors force it into.

Surely the pillock realised that you'd just remove it and get a free re-test? Or was it part of playing the percentage of failures they're expected to get?  :-\

He'd already retested and passed it before I got there, so it was a combo of him trying to be amusing and his figures....

Well.....I've posted about our cars needing the headlights adjusted, which they don't, but he's done it anyway (he says).........same thing.

camskills.co.uk for cheap tyres.  Get em fitted locally as suggested by others.  The challenge I face is finding someone local who can be trusted not to treat an immaculate alloy wheel like a never washed steely off a van and yet not charge the earth either  ::)
