Localize coolant leak
« on: 18 April 2016, 22:02:36 »

I have a 2.2 facelift omega from -00. About a week ago i noticed that the coolant level started dropping, i've never had any problem with it before. I need to refill the coolant tank about every 70 km and it drips under the car constantly. Underneath the car you can see some coolant (not that much) on the oil filter, but it's more coolant on the area of the two bolts right next to the oil filter on the left in the picture. However the area where most coolant seems to be leaking is on the other side as you can see on the 2nd picture. This is the place where it constantly drips, about a drip every 2 seconds. The drips come from the two bolts in the picture.

Does anyone know where the leak is coming from?

You need to remove the belt cover to see where it's coming from. The water pump would be a good bet, and if so needs fixing NOW!

+1 for the Water Pump.  It will get worse (quickly) and you will kill the engine.

Absolutely. It's the water pump the leak is coming from
