Nice choice. I've been running one for a couple of years.

What do you need to know?
Thank you.
I have few questions,
that engine looks fun even can't see where is air filter .
is it hard to work on ? because i read abut engine sludge problem on them so first step I would like to clean the sump and cover gasket etc.
I think front bearing and rear shock need replacing -have you don it any of these ?
and how reliable they are in general.

Air filter is in bit of a silly place really (don't drive through deep puddles).  It's in front of the Front Wheel (drivers side)  Look at the MAF, front-left of the engine.... It's below that.

Yours being a 2003 Model, may or may not have the updated Breather Kit on it.  They changed the design in 2003.  You need to check this and install the latest kit.  It's only a few breather hoses, and costs next to nothing.  ONLY EVER use Fully Synthetic Oil.  Semi-Synth causing the sludging on these engines (in conjunction with the previously poor breather setup).  So yeah, drop the sump and check the pick-up strainer for debris.

Suspension wise, it's very much just a beefed up Vectra.  I personally haven't had to dabble with it yet, but all info can be found at www.uksaabs.co.uk.  Being the Aero, you have 'Sports' Suspension, so be aware of that when ordering parts.

Once you have done the sump-drop, the VERY NEXT THING to do is get it noob'd.  Saabnoob (A guy called Karl in Nottingham) will remap the car to make 275BHP and 420Nm Torque, no hardware mods required.  It transforms the car.  You can then go down the route of larger Intercooler, 3.5bar Fuel Pressure Regulator and 3" DownPipe to go to Stage 3 (295BHP 450Nm Torque).  8)

Of course, if you don't want to, that's fine - They are quite nippy as they are.

Mine has been perfect.  I've had to change the Oil Pressure Switch as it was leaking, I changed the Aux Belt for peace of mind and stuck a couple of tyres on it.  That's something....... you will get through front tyres quite quickly, Mine will wheelspin in 3rd if it's slightly damp (Auto Transmission).

You have a good spec one - I see full electric memory drivers seat, flappy mirrors and is it the AS3 stereo (Harman Kardon)?

BM has it pretty much covered. I've also run a couple of saloons in the past so may be able to answer some questions. UKSaabs is a great resource for information and they are also a friendly lot. I would highly recommend getting yourself over there - if only to have a look around!

One word of caution of dropping the sump, I understand that there is an O-ring that sits between the oil strainer and the pickup. This should always be renewed and care taken to ensure that it is seated correctly. Failure to do this is a good way of triggering the oil starvation issues that dropping the sump is trying to avoid!

Agree the air filter is in a stupid place, but it does make servicing easy as you would probably be under there changing the oil and filter anyway!

Oh and 100% agree regarding the SaabNoob tune - transforms the car totally. The guy knows is stuff, is really friendly and his tunes are bang on. I think he also has some specific LPG maps - he was certainly talking about them on the forum a while ago.

Many moons ago when FatherT was looking at new lease options via work, we went to a Saab dealer. The Aero seats have to be some of the most comfy I've ever sat in, very, very nice seats. Never had opportunity to drive one yet.

I like Saab. They make for an interesting left field choice. :y

I could be tempted by the 2.8V6 version, which seem reasonably priced. :y
