Omega b v6 cam covers
« on: 28 April 2016, 20:20:57 »

Hi my cam covers are wavy and dosent seal properly even with genuine gasget set.
So has anyone tried to glue those covers shut with sealant and gasgets like this youtube videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_jQB4vK3Oc
Not so over kill but just runing nice cmall bead in cover's groove and bit wider bead on the block

"over kill" that's an understatement  ;D it shouldn't leak. Hope the excess doesn't fall into the engine.

Surprised the cam cover bolts were long enough to take up all the slack that gunge made. :o

Why not just do it properly  :y

I wouldn't do that TBH.
If you use a lot of sealant, there is a real possibility that some of it may 'drip' into the camshaft area, where it could block some oil paths - that would be a game over.

Start searching for new or good used camcovers.

I have a set of straight cam covers here, and a set of new GM gaskets and o-rings. Pm me if interested.
