You get 10 chances to put the correct code in so someone has already put 3 wrong codes in.

To prevent some numpty from putting the wrong code in 10 times the system is set up to make you wait (with the radio switched on) after each wrong code before you can try again. The delay gets longer as the count goes down.

It's not disappearing I left the stereo on but unfortunately it's still on the code 7 won't let me do anything.

Is the engine needs to be running on I can just leave radio on with car locked?

OK - so searching the internet comes up with:

Time delays work as follows:

Attempt 1. 10 seconds
Attempt 2. 30 seconds.
Attempt 3. 10 minutes.
Attempt 4. 20 minutes
Attempt 5. 40 minutes
Attempt 6. 80 minutes
Attempt 7 160 minutes
Attempt 8 320 minutes
Attempt 9. 640 minutes

The ignition does need to be on (just switching the radio on isn't enough)

I have Philips Bose original stereo
Which one? Guessing not the NCDC20xx as that's not coded...

Entering the code is covered in the manual, and the code itself will be on the Car Pass (assuming the radio is original to the car).

Code might also be written on the manual or on the unit itself... have you removed it to look?

If all that fails...

Drop Dave DND an email via the link I posted earlier :y

Most of all, don't keep entering random codes unless you want an expensive paperweight :D
