Why lucky?

The advert for the Euro football thing where the bloke supposedly gets crapped on by a bird raises the question of why is it supposed to be lucky to be hit by bird crap?Anyone know?Personally I've never understood it,surely it would be luckier if the stuff missed ???

No Stemo I don't know football.It's a useless game in which I've absolutely zero interest.I've heard of Cantona,but had no idea what he looked like!Having said that,many many years ago a team called Santos played a friendly match against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough and I went and saw that[my dad gave me a ticket that he'd been given]so I can honestly say that I saw Pele play live,not just on tv.

Yup, add me to the list of people who hadn't a scooby do who he is.

Although I know the name. Didn't he play for Man U? Only know/think I know that cause I remember a picture of him drop kicking a member of the crowd at a match once, was in all the papers iirc.  ;D

Bloody Hell! Even I know who Eric Cantona is & I've no interest in football at all ....... Ooo! Ahhh! Cantona! I once got tickets to watch Man U for my Utd mad son. Even in the North Stand at Old Trafford you could still tell which one was Eric.  :y

As said I'd heard of him,wasn't he the one who came out with some useless drivel about seagulls and trawlers or some such?Wouldn't have recognised him even if he'd kicked me in the nuts though!

I can honestly say I've never been to a football game, and the only one I've ever watched on TV was Paraguay vs. Japan in the last world cup (I think that's who it was, anyway)..

..and even I recognise Cantona in the new advert.

Some of you must live in caves or under a rock  :P
