« on: 10 June 2016, 23:03:32 »

Just catching up on the posts tonight and saw the LC louvre thread which linked to the Irmcher thread.  Had'nt realied CG had been banned.

Got me thinking about some of the members from the past, a few very sad loses :'( and generarlly a lot of membeers just moving on from thier omega's on to other cars.

A lot of the ladies have gone and some are just quiet.  I have only ever met 2 members (willyboy being one of them) and traded with a few for parts.

But the thing I had'nt realised till tonight is that the forum is 10 years old next month. :y :y

Although some get all caught up on political/socioeconomic/dangleberries discussion. The core here is the Vauxhaul Omega

Easy to get distracted. But that's the common thread.

By all means go off on a tangent, but try to come back to it.

Well I miss Desperate Den. I could identify with his posts and his dry humour.

Wouldn't Nick ( I can't remember his actual handle) have enjoyed the EU ref debate. I remember him pointing out to me in those early days the error of my ways when I actually thought a European army might have been a good thing! How ten years has flown.

I had a lot of help in those early days for which I am eternally grateful.  Couldn't afford to take the Omega for a cambelt change to an Opel dealer (they would never have worked on a V6) so set to. Very scary as we live miles from anywhere and only had the one car. The low point came when I thought the alignment had gone. :o Had dial up Internet in those days too.

Even though Chris had a habit of picking on certain members at times for whatever reason, you can't fault the help he gave members when they needed it. I personally appreciate the help he has gave me over the years  :)
Doesn't mean I won't offer a remedy for his thrush infection when he was been a irritating t@at though  :P :D :D
Anyway, i'm sure he is still lurking in the background somewhere

Was it ever confirmed that Den had past away ?  :(
He certainly had a great sense of humour  ;)

Oh, and I think DTM banned me once as well, probably spiteful retaliation for his deserved ban ;D
