Motorbike Question here

I have been told my motorbike will run best on Mineral Oil...... but will the Vx mineral oil be ok to use? or with it being actually car oil will it damage the bike? :-/

the motorcycle trade insist that car engine oil will damage the wet clutch on a motorcycle. are they telling the truth or just ripping us off ?i honestly dont know. :-/
if you run yours on vx oil for the next year and it doesnt harm it ,let me know and i will join in.  :y ;D

Vx semi-skimmed is what goes in my TDM, not had a problem over the 4 or 5 years I've owned it.

I have only ever put car oil in motorcycles for ever, but my bikes have never been these modern day superbike things, guess that might make a difference. :)

thats what worries me a bit.revving an engine to 13,000 with oil in it which may well not be designrd to do that. :-/

6000 rpm would be dangerous,i might fall asleep ;D

it will cost you more than one beer to repay all the abuse your dishing out to me and my little honda.
when i get an r1 im coming up to staffs. to show you the way to ride the cat & fiddle. actually i reckon i could do it on the 600. :P ;D

Personally i would use either silkolene synthetic or castrol synthetic i wolud not use the vx oil as it might not be the proper grade i might be right i might be be quickly corrected by others.... i always stuck to using silkolene in my bikes though never let me down ..... :y

nah i got better bb guns than them......plus i used to have a proper bren gun and .303 enfield mk4 never got round to buying a tommy gun though... :'(
