Engine tune up
« on: 16 June 2016, 07:35:29 »

Hi, can a diagnostic check reveal why my 2.6 cdx seems to running lumpy on start up?
Once it's warmed up it is better but still not as smooth as I think it should be.  I bought it with about 12,000 miles on it and it now has 92,00, so would the "lumpy" tick over be a sign that there is something amiss or am I being a tad fussy?

It's worth putting your location in your profile ;)

As to your question... The Drive By Wire engines are a little less smooth on tick over than the earlier cable versions but if it has gotten worse then you need to investigate. First thing to do is the pedal trick (look in the guides section) and report back any codes. Also, when was the last service?
