Phoned the Police
« on: 23 July 2008, 23:12:06 »

Just had to phone the police because there are a dozen noisey 'yoofs' down the end of our quiet cul-de-sac - bloody school holidays are a pain in the arse  >:(

We are pretty much the same here to be honest, touch wood. There have been the odd bits of bother but nothing much, small village, everyone know's the kids, any real problems come from out of the area. :)

Old Farts Department.

Quiet cul-de-sac in quiet village in quiet county suits me.

As for school holidays, well, the wife's a teacher, so I may actually get to speak to her over the next few weeks.  And as for the local kids, my son apart, they're all under 14 and well behaved.  And they're all bug hunting at the moment - I've been shown enough grasshoppers in the last few days to last me a lifetime.  Even the cat brought one in to show me at 10 o'clock last night - that took some catching! :)

If they are getting booked for something, then they are not innocent ;)

Edit - to the OP - were there any obvious offences committed?
The most the Police are likely to do if they are just "there" is ask them to move on. Without reasonable suspision they won't do a stop+account etc.

I hope you didn't call this through on 999?!  ::)

unless your a speed camera operator in kent and get caught fiddling so hundreds of innocent road users get prosecuted. this happened recently and caused quite a storm. ;)

One speed camera operator (while clearly an idiot) doesn't make up the Police Force so really is a minority case.

If a patrolling Police officer books someone, it's highly unlikely they are "innocent" ..

i agree with most of what you say james.just pointing out that there are exceptions ,always have been always will.
the police by nature are a cross section of society so imo, most are ok,some are brilliant and some are idiots. :y
