what would you do

Iv,e posted about a head gasket blown on my 2.2 dti. I am the stage where the pulleys are to come off & as I am going to renew timing chain, guides, tensioners & gaskets ,oil seals etc. would you advice a new water pump. I have been quoted with vat about £38 , ECP & a couple of other motor factors.

As said in your other Post(s) dont really understand why your buying and spending cash on all these parts before youve had the Head off and undergone a inspection, granted it probably is an HG fail, but could be something more sinister.

  I already had timing kit. also my ex brother-in-law sent his nephew round who is a mechanic & is conclusion is definitely HG. he also sent an how-to concerning timing that he printed out using my reg details & any body (even me) can follow it. It would be a good guide to put on the forum.   :y
