As said before, any GM V6 cam belt kit will fit any GM V6 engine. GM, Gates and Contitech kits seem most common, but there are other makes on the market at tempting lower prices. Nick says it is usually the tensioners that fail, I can believe that; they contain a tensioner spring which flexes every revolution, as do valve springs. Is there any reason why earlier engines have two eccentric idler pulleys, while later ones have only one?

Dare I suggest cost of production? Having an MFL and a FL, the latter has definitely had a lot of cost savings compared to the earlier model. :y

Well, true to his word, the guy said he would put my belt kits on overnight delivery, and I was dug out of bed this morning by an Interlink driver, standing proudly on the doorstep with said goods :y
Shows what a phone call can do, and again, thanks Paul for the link. I shall definitely use them again. Chap did say he was aware of the forum, through other members buying stuff. I had mentioned I was a member of the a club, and he said..'What, the Omegas Owners Forum'   so no bull :y
