Terrible company. Bought some stuff from them a couple of years or so ago, when I say some stuff I mean two expensive leather setees. There was a delay in the property purchase and they totally refused to delay delivery in any way whatsoever. They delivered to my address just days before we moved out.  >:(    B****rds

I ordered some other stuff from Oak Furnitureland and they were absolutely brilliant  :y They couldn't have been more helpful

You can do without such headaches during such a stressful time. You can, of course, just tell yourself that they've lost any future business you may have put their way, but I doubt they would give a toss. They know folk just can't resist a £1200 sofa for £25 a month.

It's amazing that people go for those deals. EG: ONLY £25 A MONTH !! (for the next 50 years).

If you can't afford it DON'T BUY IT !

I disagree. We could easily afford to pay cash for what we bought, but it costs no more to spread it into almost negligible monthly payments. When we have paid for this one, we'll chuck it and do it all again.  :)

Well I spose, but I just hate the long term commitment. Never know what the future holds financially, well I don't. Ah yes,  Mrs S's state pension ! Nearby we have one of those shops Bright Homes or something. Everything is stupidly expensive, they don't expect or want you to pay in one go. All aimed at ppl on benefits who want the latest crap.

Totally different, Rog. That was originally a Crazy George's, then Brighthouse and it's now Perfect Home. They should really have renamed it Chav World. Total rip off but it's the only way Wayne and Waynetta can get a 50" TV and a Smeg for £20 a week from their benefit money.
DFS is positively saintly compared to that lot.

I bought a 6 piece suite from them a few years ago. Superb quality, £1400 on interest free credit, came with a complete set of new covers which we never used. The only reason it went was it was slightly too big for our room, We replaced it last year with a set of G-plan which was the only 6 piece we could find of the appropriate size. Not built to half the quality of the DFS one, and cost at least twice as much. :y

And I didn't think the back of a Shackleton was that spacious.

Just to be clear.

The quality etc of the DFS stuff is really pretty good. It's just service and attitude I have a real problem with.

Nope. Still pissed off at 'em. Had to move two settees in the back of cars as the removal men had already emptied the house.
