A smart semi in central London, probably around £1million I would imagine. Daughter lives in a nice 1 bed flat, outside the congestion zone by about 25 yards. Value circa £700k. Fickin ludicrous.
I used to live in a big old house, not as big as the one in the link but still big, and in winter time you couldnt keep heat in it. I almost went bankrupt trying. 25ft x 25ft rooms with 10 ft high ceilings, huge Victorian sash windows with half inch gaps between the sashes.
The house I live in now is approx. the size of one room in the old house, but at least this one isn't haunted.
I do miss my 4 garages though.Would be more than happy with one now.

Using the mortgage reckoner ..... if I put down £250 000 (a generous value of my house) over 11 yrs (I'm 54) gives a monthly payment of a mere £3100 a month

I'd need to put myself down for a lot of overtime
