What a great day we had at WIM today, a big thanks to tony and jamie for setting this up, The cars were on and off the ramp like a bl production line today as iguess 10 had short wishbone bushes, so finally it was my go on the ramp and i was confident that mine would be ok and the bushes passed the test HOOORAY, so isaid that the only issue that i had was that the steering wheel was slightly off centre, so could he adjust it, no  probs he said than his colluege said that i had a broken rear spring, so adjustment was out of the window. BOO HOO. :'( So two new springs to be bought and then back to tony to have the rear set up and the steering set streight ahead.

Personally i blame the missus as she was the last one to sit in the back  and therfore her fault. ::)
Now she is chucking forks at me as i type this, where's my tin hat. ;D

What a cracking day!

Thanks to Tony (and Mark) for a most informative day (and for grounding most of the Omega fleet!). I don't think that even the most pessimistic amongst us expected so many shot wishbone bushes (something like 12 out of 15 cars on the ramp)  :o :o :o

Thanks also to the guys that provided some very welcome refreshments, and also to Jamie for his tireless efforts with the Tech 2

It was good to meet a few more 'oofers' too.

Might be worth setting up a special WIM bushing and knowledge day as Tony has kind of hinted? (Who knows how many other oof cars are in similar condition  :-/ )

Wow, better make that 13 out of 15 that attended
(is that right?) had shot wishbones, although myn
never got on the ramp, i knew myn have gone anyway
So no point, may have been worth checking the
Steering idler and springs, i suppose.
My car is 5 years old and 70k on the clock, so does that
mean age is a factor with the bushes? Koz if i ran up
70k within the warranty period and found shot
Bushes there would be a claim going in. They must be
Made to last 3years and 100k for warranty reasons?
So is it worth Spraying with silicone to keep the
rubber fresher for Longer ? Would like to know more
about pressing bushes in and out.
Something to be gained there, surely?

But more importantly thankyou to wim for the
Friendly education will book in for set up and er...
Bushes! Maybe keep em on the shelf?
And to Jamie for organising and tech 2ing,maybe
Ill remember my head AND my car pass next time,Der!
And to Ian for the food very very much appreciated.

Above all Thanks to Karen, H really enjoyed the day.

Leave em while they're quiet...  ;)

Thanks to Tony and WIM for a very informative and enjoyable day.
And to TB for doing his magic with the Tech2

No thanks to VX for making Sh!t bushes tho, Mine was the second to go down the scenic bushy route, Still FFc gary thought it was funny that everyones was going out that way till Tony kicked the spring out from under his feet.

"OS Rear springs Broken Gary, Can't adjust it". LOL that made my day.

Ode to Gary, Don't laugh at the misfortunate.

Thanks again all.  It was nice to put names to faces.

PS. Sorry ffcgary, disn't leave Kent till 11pm so was able to get to you, PM sent

Both SP32 and I had to have new wishbones fitted at our various visits as well.

Mine had passed an MOT a month before so I guess there's a fairly wide tolerance within the MOT test - 69K.

Couldn't believe the difference after new wishbones and geometry had been done by Tony & Co.

Really sorry I missed this. :( I was going to try and get over for the day but alas, family comes first. My sister and brother-in law, nephew and his girlfriend who I haven't seen for ages came down from Lowestoft for the day and the my brother had organised a pub meal and get together for the day.

Pleased to see it turned out to be another successful OOF meet. Mind you, I think Tony's seen enough of me at WIM as I've had a few visits over there in recent months. ::).

Apologies for late post, but as soon as Jimbob and I got back to my place, he insisted on having a drink.  Now its rude to let people drink alone, so purely to be a decent (ish!) host, I had to join him. Honest.

Anyway, a great day.  I know a lot of people are probably disappointed that they now need to change bushes, but rather know now than when the tyres get hit.

As others have said, fccgary got his just deserts, much to everyone's amusement when the spring was spotted ;D

I was outside for about 3hrs, messing with Tech2, but cars seemed to be going in and out quickly, so I assumed things weren't going too well.  But absolutely dumbfounded when Tony said that he could only do 2 :o.  Glad I bought my bushes last week, before the big shortage hits ;)

I fabulous day, I really enjoyed it, and I know many others did as well, so on behalf of OOF, will be passing on my thanks to Tony, Mark, and the rest of the WIM team for giving us the opportunity to make this day happen.

Also, Iggy21uk who put on a bloody decent buffet, thanks for that :y

Sounds like a good day for all, I'm just sorry I missed it, apologies for not turning up, (Family issues late Saturday meant wasn't gona be arround Sunday morning, kids eh!). :(

Hope I didn't let the side down, I know the numbers where a bit thin on the ground.

Sounds like I need to check my Bushes?, even though the MV6 passed it's MOT this morning (Hurraay!), :)
