Andy B, I spend my life in an automatic car at work to the tune of 1000 miles per week, nice to get in a manual at the weekends, especially a pre 3.0 elite! As there are nearly none left anymore   :y

You're not selling it to me  ::) ... especially a ton & half barge like an Omega - they're not exactly a sports car, even in MV6 guise  ;) I can see no enjoyment in working a clutch on today's roads, it's bad enough queueing with 2 pedals, let alone 3

Tbh I can't wait to get rid of my dti man estate, as soon as my mv6 is on the road it will be ditched. 2 pedals any day for me. :y

I sold my 2.6 last year on e-bay a member here bought it , believe me it was excellent went for £750. A lot of car for a pittance. That was manual with a comprehensive service history maintained regardless of expense.

Quite agree tilbo, a lot of car for no money especially after loads of money spent.

Dunno why people worry about what any car is worth,if you like it then look after it,drive it and enjoy the experience, after all, in general it's a used item and therefore not going to increase in value any time soon :y

That's why in my limited time left on this mortal coil I regrettably will never see the Omega make classic status or attain a mahoosive jump in prices.Although I'm biased I think my three cars are in good fettle and would make reasonable sums if and when I have to sell them, but no way will I ever get the many thousands of pounds spent on them back.My son has made it quite clear that at that time when I can't manage my own affairs, then he would have my VXR8 and the Omegas off me and all would be got rid of PDQ! So I'm going to enjoy owning and driving them until that day and the longer it carries on the longer it'll piss the son off ::) ;)

I quite agree nitro, a portion of monies spent on our fine cars needs to be absorbed as part of our hobby but selling them for a few hundred after all that time money blood sweat makes no sense at all. I will enjoy mine for the years to come as long as I can afford to keep it, if the time comes I can't afford to keep it dry storage is only £20 a week, better that than giving it away. I've not long sold my 93 L Carlton 2.0 cdx manual with 56 on the clock for £1450 without even advertising it and I was still a few hundred down after I finished all the work but I understand that's the hobby, no probs   :y

That's hit the nail right on the head,  if you enjoy driving & maintain a car as it should be done there is nothing better especially if it is not the common "eurobox"  and just because it is older has no bearing to its value to the owner. I could afford a more modern vehicle but prefer something just a  little bit different ,as  I have said before if I had a bigger garage I would have kept my Omega  as well they really are in my opinion great cars.

I think you need to dis-inherit your son and leave your cars to us hoof'ers will look after them, and give them a home.

Will have the papers drawn up ready for you to sign, after your curry and rocket fuel. :y  :D

Actually, the autobox was the option on the Omega... except the 3.2 which was publicly sold as auto only... ::)

Hi prefacelift

It is not the time for selling an Omega. It is the time to buy an Omega and to keep it.

Patience!

Omega B prices will follow Senator B prices. 10 years ago you could get a drive able Senator B 24 V for a handful of coins. Today you have to pay 2.000 € to an object of restoration. Mint Senators are reaching the 10.000 € line.

Keep your Omega and you will remember my word 10 years ahead with a wide smile on your face.

Best regards

Rolf
