85deg while cruising at 70, felt that was a little low? Even heaters seemed colder than my preferred 22. Maybe I just don't do enough cruising  :-\

Although the gauge markings vary with age, cruising should be just under the mid point on the gauge.  In traffic, this should rise to just above mid point, when the fans kick in and drag in back down.

The low output from the heater on HI will be an indicator as to heater matrix condition. :y
