2.5 TD aux belt tensioner Part number question
« on: 05 January 2017, 19:14:56 »

Went to start the 2.5Td this morning and the aux belt tensioner deceided it was not going to work any more. Brakeing in 3 and snaping both belts.

Having done a serch on the web for a new one, all I can find are parts listed for the P38 Range Rover:

STC4608   Bracket
STC2126   Boss
STC2128   Pully
STC4168   Damper ram

Am I correct in thinking that they are the same parts used on the Omega?

Has any one got a full assenbly for sale, before i spend £100 on a new one?

Thanks for any help. Chris.

I am sure that is what I used for mine when mine broke. It was used P38 one and exactly the same as the one I took off. Thought you could still get aftermarket replacement ones for a lot less but last time I looked was some time ago!!

Mine had snapped on New Year's Day taking the tensioner with it, I found some replacement parts on ECP but considering getting rid of my car now - not economical for me to repair as loads of work needs doing anyway!
