Disappearing water
« on: 06 January 2017, 19:24:05 »

Hi there
Can anybody help us please our Ming has started to use / loose water about 1-2 litres per week heater has been fine but only aired now heater gauge hardly moves now last two days !  No water leaks, no loss of power , no miss beats of engine , no gunk around oil or expansion cap!  Any clues ? Is this possibly head ?  The heater has been hot until 2-3 days ago .... thanks

Classic Hbv failure. Try it with both temps set to Lo, fan on minimum and wrap up warm. No further coolant loss = Hbv failure as number one likeliest issue...

Unless drivers foot well carpet sodden and a faint smell of coolant in the cabin, which means heater matrix failure
