New Battery order mistake
« on: 25 January 2017, 10:19:00 »

Uncharacteristically, I ordered a new battery in a hurry online without first looking at reviews of the company. It turns out that they are somewhat dodgy, going by Trustpilot reviews. They happily took my Paypal payment, but I have not received any dispatch advice or other communication, and am unable to contact them by phone. I am not  concerned about the money, as I can claim a refund via Paypal if it doesn't turn up. Just annoyed as I would like to have this fitted before going on my warm winter holiday. ::)
For info this is the company: http://www.autopointcarparts.co.uk/

I was about to recommend http://www.battery2u.co.uk which I remembered someone had posted about here.

I ordered some Batteries from these people few weeks back, good price 46 quid for an Excide 71Ah, 3 year Warranty plus free DHL Tracked delivery, not Omega related but will probably fit, or they have something that will.

They claimed 2 to 3 working days delivery, I had the next day, and when the tracking info showed up, it came from ECP, although they were a lot cheaper than ECP even with ECP 30% off offer.  :y

The battery arrived today, Exide Premium, 100AH, packed in a somewhat amateurish way, but looks fine. However, I have received no info from the company, and no invoice for any warranty claim. (supposedly 4 years) I would not recommend them again. :y
I assume I am now the OOF battery company tester, good or bad. ??? :y
