True. But when there was talk of banning diesels from city centres it was all "London first then everyone will follow suit" type stuff. So who knows, it could be coming to a city near you .

good news is it only covers the congestion charge hours - 7am-6pm and the same area https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/congestion-charge/congestion-charge-zone

bad news is the separate ULEZ will likely be brought forward to 2019, operate 24 hours a day and cover all London inside the north and south circulars

I think this is the bigger issues, I still sometimes use the 3.2 for work to give it a run after all the town work MrsT puts on it.

If they include this emmisions surcharge with LEZ, it means no Omega could commute inside to M25. Which means my old 2.2 or the 3.2 could not be used for work   

As I had been toying with idea of selling the VW to fund a new mum bus for MrsT, keeping the 3.2 for work now I car share. But I can easily see them adding this charge to LEZ in 2019...
