Been with LV for years ever since joining the civil service as they give us special deals, always found them excellent.

Utterly hopeless last time I was with them (back in the Frizzell days), after being rear ended by a Volvo, I was treated with complete disinterest, ended up having to do all the donkey work myself to claim from 3rd party.

So they were told in no uncertain terms where to go, as were the CSMA retards.

Got this at the moment, Admiral have just quoted a renewal price of £1,050 for the multicar policy (two cars with two drivers), separate insurance comes in at £275 for mine and £233 for hers so they can well and truly Foxtrot Oscar

Luck of the draw I think. This year, Admiral multicar worked out significantly cheaper than other options from the comparison sites.

But I do try to check most years

Obviously changed a bit now then , never experienced any problems with them & CSMA have saved me a fortune on holidays etc.

That's what they tell you, and I believed, but like most of these types of club, they are run by 'tards, and the deals are poor. When I was looking if my £10pa subscription was worth it, I found it was always cheaper to go via a local specialist (eg, travel agent in case of holidays) than via csma offers. This was pre internet days, now its even easier...

Same here every year but works out cheaper for us to insure separately with Betterhalf on the others policy so 2 drivers

I've had one car installed with Direct Line for years and the price has crept up every year to the point where this year was absolutely ridiculous, as this car has some mods on it (B4's, Eibachs, poly bushes) and will be having bigger brakes and wheels this year I've gone with a company that will insure the modifications and give me a guaranteed value. The cost is nearly 50% cheaper than Direct Line...

The other car was with Aviva who decided to load up the price this year so I checked around and ended up insuring the car with...... Direct Line. This car is an identical model and engine size to the other one and is less than 6 months older, it's insured for 30K a year with business cover etc and they wanted less than any other insurance company and obviously less than the quote they'd given for the other car.... so call it what you like - Double standards, piss taking, random price generating, the whole insurance quoting system, whatever the company, appears to be ridiculous.

I trust you don't mean the later model that was actually a Hillman Hunter with a bit of wood and leather thrown at it?

Had a Mk1 Sceptre[1500cc]back in the '70's,lovely little car it was too.Anyway back to the thread,the V70 is insured with Saga while the Omega is insured with the AA.Oddly Saga's quote for the Omega was sky high considering that was on 9yrs+ no claims and 1,000mls per year,while the V70 was with no NCB and 4,000mls per year
