X30XE only run's over 900rpm. Bad starting
« on: 03 April 2017, 16:13:22 »

My 96 Omega b have been slowly dying while i have tryed to fix the problem, first symptoms i had was from the automatic gearbox so i had a full service on it and cleaned it totaly. After that i still had problem's and changed the timing belt just to be sure since i never changed it on this motor ( new motor and no one knows when it was last changed ). then i changed the cam sensor and it started to get better but now it  just got worse and it finally showed me a fault lamp in my dash, of course my licens ran out the day before.

The problem's i currently have is that it wont start correctly and it runs bad, i can't put it in drive or reverse and then give it some power without it dying out on me, i started to get water and oil in the intake, but my oil seems to be fine at the moment.

im sorry if you have hard time to read this because my english is kindof bad, but thanks for whatever help i may get.

12 - start of cycle, ignore
19 - crank sensor failing - replace crank sensor with genuine GM one
69 - Air intake sensor - check wiring to it, near MAF

68 - can you double check this, not listed.

crank sensor is changed with a genuine GM about 2 weeks ago, air intake sensor migth be because i started it without the air intake installed on my car when i changed timing belt. I do also care what parts i put on to my car, i am trying to keep the parts originale as much as possible.

i will check the other code after work tomorrow, i will also get a friend with me to check some data on my car since he have the originale GM diagnostic that they vauxhall/opel sould use, he is also a omega freak.

Try disconecting MAF sensor - if it runs reasonably ok MSF sensor furbared ;)

Without the engine turning over, you will see a code 19 anyway. Once the engine is cranking over, the code 19 goes away still with the paperclip in place if the sensor is okay  ;)

According to http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90524.0

69   Intake Air Temperature Voltage Low
19   Incorrect RPM Signal
129   Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Feedback Voltage Low
73   Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage Low
133   Intake Manifold Valve 2 Voltage Low

(Seems like you can ignore the 19 if the engine wasn't running)

Wouldn't need the egr blanking off per chance. Just a thought. However, I would check you don't have any oil and water in the plug wells first.
