That was nasty!! :o :o :o

Do you think it may have been staged though?  Can't decide myself.  :-\

I thought lorry tyres had to be inflated in a cage , but I suppose this was in Russia............... ;)

In Russia, safety, whats that? I don't think it was staged as the car is too new for person to be happy that it has been written off. :o

I've fitted truck tyres with split rims where there's not been a cage available, which is a little nerve racking!  ::)

Blimey :o :o. I once knew a chap who spent a few years working on lorry tyres and he told me that he had known one of his colleagues try and change a tyre without using a cage.  He literally lost his head :o

There was this case down our way which cost Watling Tyres dear, and a poor inexperienced lad his life:

In true Daily Fail style...  ::)

That wasn't a lorry tyre (which don't weigh 3 Tonnes) but a plant tyre, probably a loading shovel looking at the size.

As for lorry tyres and cages... What's supposed to happen and what does aren't always the same ;)

I witnessed a mate over inflate a go kart tyre whilst he was preparing for a weekend race meet.  He was working away in the corner, cleaning and checking stuff, then checked all the wheels, not sure if he was distracted but the tyre blew up and ripped his thumb off to the point it was hanging on with a tendon and pointing the wrong way on his hand. :-\

In my old work we used to inflate inner tubes and put the talc powder for puttin over puncture repairs all over it so when it went there was a big white cloud. Dunno if elf and safety would have that today. Although could put it down to research purposes!
