Very hot stereo. Help!
« on: 17 May 2017, 20:41:56 »

Hey fellow Omega owners

I have a query regards my stereo. I have had 2 seperate after market units fitted but i have a recurring issue where the little shelf under the unit gets very hot, almost too hot to touch.

It happens more so when the heating is on (even set low) and after driving for over 20 mins regardless of heating settings.

Is this a common issue and is it an easy fix?

Thanks

You've probably squashed/blocked the cold air feed behind the dash :-\

What he said /\.

From memory :-\ the cold feed pipe points to the lower half of the Original Double Din HU, so if yove fitted a single Din within one of those adaptors with a cubby slot underneath, then could be squashed or it could babe firing past the upper HU.
