Any ideas ?
« on: 22 May 2017, 13:47:01 »

Got in from work yesterday had a quick bite to eat & then usual walk with the dog, loaded him in the Hyundai & once mobile noticed the rev counter was not moving off zero,  two weeks off from today so set off with the dog today & all working again !  Any thoughts as to why never had this on any vehicle before.

Likely to be at the instrumentation end, rather than ECU/sensor end.

If I had to bet, I'd say either a bad connection or the rev counter on its way out. I doubt it could be anything at the "sender" end or the car wouldn't start or would light up like a Christmas tree.

As long as everything else carries on working I will leave it alone, rev counter not really that important on the old workhorse, sounds like a fix could be expensive, still working ok this morning.
