I'm missing something fundamental.

A phone is for phone calls.  Why the hell does it need a memory card?

this is ridiculous. £1.03 plus p&p for a 2 gig card!!!.....

http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-SDSDQ-2048-E11M-2GB-microSD-Card/dp/B000X4B30O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1217971339&sr=8-1

on crucial it's a bit pricier...
http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listmodule/FLASH/~microSD~/list.html

But screwed on postage, as you always are with Amazon's 3rd party shops.

i've noticed that little issue too. can triple the cost!

but these guys are doing free postage at the mo... i jus got me a new battery for a fiver!

thats a 1 gig card. an alright price and good adapters!
Try memorybits.co.uk as well.

coz it can do so much more...... pics , replace an Ipod, videos, they all use more space than phone numbers!

oh and if you save your contact data on the card then it's a lot more tranferable!

my mate watches tv on his phone........streamed live from his home server.... :o
Its a phone!

say me, who also watches TV/films via stream from media centre at home....

lol. i knew you like to stream too.,.. hehe. i guess a phone can just be a phone if you like to have lots of gadgets. or you can have one that just happens to be able to ring people amongt its many functions!!

says me who's using a phone from 2002 since i lost mine and all the others are bust.....

/me wonders how big TheBoy's pockets are for all the bits he must carry around lol .., camera (even a miggy doesn't come with one lol), music player of some sort while u are travelling, movies on the better phones, diary, contact list, emails, etc etc oh and a web browser so u never have to leave this forum for too long he he.

A phone can almost do the cleaning for ya lol (gawd will that one be a best seller or what altho i'm not sure I'd like to be holding it in my hand too often lol)

Guess this isn't a good time to ask for my post count back huh?

I saved all my contacts by default to the phone memory. ooops
upgrading firmware and the phone didn't like it and said go forth.

1 dead phone and all contacts lost.
 That hurts >:(

Just ordered a 2Gb from play.com at £5.99 with free postage (thanks Spongebob!  :y)

I agree with TB that, at the end of the day, a phone is a phone, but it's useful to have the video & camera resources available when you've forgotten the digital camera (which I normally do!).  ;)

My phone has the cheapest 2 gb card I could find. All it does is serve up songs, pics etc

My D80 camera has a Sandisk Extreme III 2 gb. According to the blurb, it's nearly thermonuclear protection.

The difference in price is now less than a tenner. The difference in performance is probably unnoticeable by me. The difference in percieved reliability made me pay for the Sandisk.

These used to be £65!

Hourses for courses, but I would go cheap for the phone.

Dream on, anything lfash based will not be reliable......the best currently is Silicon Systems.

Blimey is it surrounded in a lead lined box with 2.3M of concrete around it then?

Even then it'd need to be 7 Miles away!
