hi Kate
i don't think that many older people accept it, they just tolerate it.I'd go as far to say some folk are even scared of the gay community male or female. As to how long two men could walk hand in hand where i live ,id reckon they would get away with it once after that well lets just say the local pond life gave a priest a good hiding a few months ago for having the cheek to wear his dog collar

That sounds like my area Zippo.

Blimy Kate, you from the Barnes :o :o :o

I'm from the scummy bit near the Barnes. ;D

Oh, Thorney Close. ::) ::) ::) Went out with a Girl who live there for a while, some time ago, had a Rover 827 so it was always there the next morning. ;D ;D ;D

Mike, I don't live anywhere as posh as Thorney Close. ;D

Hendon, Plains Farm, are you going to keep me guessing ;D
swmbo recons Thorney Close about the worst these days, mind she does know the girl I used to go out with!!!!!!!!

It's Plains Farm Mike well done!  Did you used to go out with Brenda McAfluffy, the werewolf of Thorney Close?

Plains Farm is OK and no but she could have been the girls mother ::)

Hi everyone.  In the last couple of weeks in my area of the north east and Teeside I have seen two gay male couples holding hands while walking down the street.  I used to think that couples like this would get beat up in my area.

What do you think about this in your area?  Would it be accepted?  I just thought it would be interesting to find out the views of oofers across Britain. :y

Sorry but too start ive highlighted your spelling mistake....its spelt homosexual male.

Homosexuals have taken the real meaning away from gay and i find that offence...as do i when they say ""were normal...what we do is normal"" well news flash if it was bloody normal NONE of us would be here evolution in its wisdom created a male with a penis and a female with a vagina for a very good reason.!

Ok sorry for the rant....and in answer too your question i cant recall seeing two homosexual males holding hands, doubt they would get a second look if they did.

Ok rant time again. ;D

Homosexuals in this country i hold in utter contempt due too the way they feel they need too constantly force the fact there homosexual down your throat...proud too be gay day....gay dads r us....camp mincers throwing a tissy if there not pointed at and commented on because there gay....Im heterosexual i dont feel the need too keep banging on about it,dont feel the need too have marches....see what im getting at.

Now before you start thinking im some bigot let me explain that the Philippines has plenty of homosexual and lesbians apart from the lady boys (ive two sister in laws who are lesbians) and there great, always go too the beauty parlour with the wife too get my hair cut and its always a homosexual who does it....totally camp and bent as a nine bob note and funny with it.

The huge difference is they simply get on with there lives....yes there raving queens, but they dont insist on having marches celebrating the fact, they just get on with life as the rest of us do and that's the difference...hence why there treated just the same.

Just remember folks GOD MADE ADAM AND EVE....NOT ADAM AND STEVE

If you lived in Brighton i think it's compulsory for all males to hold hands.

Does that include oofers?

Tut,Tut stereotyping ;)

As to Kates question,no one bats an eye lid to same sex couples holding hands.
Just had gay pride week here straights and gays together having a good time.
Gay is not actually gay.G.A.Y. is an acronym(?) for good as you.
Trouble is Brighton has the notoriety of being the gay capital of England, although i hear the Mancs have quite a large gay scene.(Maybe they will take the title one day ;D)

Still we are stuck with the stigma of being a gay town.
At least we are no longer the drugs death capital of England

PS.My daughter prefers female company.Said she knew this from quite a youngish age.(We weren't in Brighton when she came outa the closet)

I find it a bit sad that the question needs to be asked TBH,

But down my way there is no moral taboo's... even the sheep are fair game  :D

Richierich is out with them o a regular basis  ;D ;D

Yes, I've  seen him!   ;D

i must say i resent these insinuations of being associated with sheep. the only time i have lamb is if its under a big pile of mash potatoes. i have been known to go out with a few old cows now and then though  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
