For those of you that knew Dave Waddington from the AutobahnStormers

It is with great sadness to post that my Dad, Dave Waddington, passed away this morning as a result of a viral chest infection on top of his disabilities he gained from having diabetes. We don’t believe he suffered during his last 12 hours.

His sense of humour, dogged tenacity, enthusiasm for his car and the car club and love for his family stayed with him until the end.

If anyone is interested in attending his funeral, details will be posted once they are known.

God rest Dad, we will all miss you xx

Rip DW, you will be missed at all the events, and you enthusiasm for the club, and cars will be missed.

That's sad news James.

Dave was well known in the ABS Community, and will be missed by them.

I'm glad it seems he didn't suffer at the end.  Our thoughts are with you and your family.

Don't know you and didn't know your dad, James, but you have my deepest sympathy. Sounds like a very popular fella.

Although he was something of a legend in Vauxhall circles I only met your Dad once, around five years ago.
I was hugely impressed with the way he seemed able to ignore his very serious health issues and retain a great deal of dignity and humour.
So sorry to hear of your loss and good to hear he wasn't suffering at the end.

I met your Dad a few times at Billing and he made us feel most welcome. He came across as a genuinely nice guy.
