Rather than spending all this time trying to find a board that has the specific layout, why not simply change the case??

You are looking for a board that seems to be very difficult to obtain so common sense says change the case and you will find a board that suits less specific needs.

Changing the case is not an option ;)
Then stop being a lazy wimp and fix the motherboard that you have!  :P ;D

The existing mobo works fine, but only takes P4, which is getting a bit long in the tooth now, and is struggling slightly with the workload it has...

Used to be mega bucks though, and not that stable.  I'd be much happier with firewire directly on the board...

Even the expensive PCI cards are under 20 quid, isn't that good enough?  7.1 surround cards are under 20 as well.

No spare slots for extra PCI cards.

Guessing this is the media centre...

I can only recommend your disliked Asus boards.

Only used em with AMD though, and the golden rule there was to go for the nvidia chipsets, not the via shite.

Had too many experiences with Asus boards.  Got a few P4 ones here somewhere, if I haven't already thrown them out ;D

I would prefer, if poss, to stick with Intel chipset...

old Asus boards may have problems..in the past I see some..

But now in home one asus board (new model) is working day and night to record 2 cameras 7 * 24 .. And the DVR card is chinese ..

And trust me its too hot here (room temperature nearly 35-36 Celcius now)..

The only good thing is this board is after a 2.5 KW UPS..

Never had a problem..

ps: PSU also is special design  500 watt slient type.. Have a slow

turning big fan..
