My other half had a CT scan the other week of neck to abdomen.  Took about 15 minutes all told, if this helps....

The letter from the hospital does say that time taken depends on the complexity of the scan.  Guessing the brain bit may take longer but, i'm no doc....

Plus, think of parking, appointments running late etc etc....   :y

Had a few CT's  myself over the years but only Torso not head. As hotel 21 says about 15 mins in all. May be a bit quicker if only the head.

Nothing to worry about though - totally painless.

Hope this eases your concern.  Regards, Al

Wife also had an MRI scan recently.  There were 5 different scans on the day, all of varying individual time durations, totalling approx 50 minutes.

Hope all goes well....  :y

:( Oh poor sweetie, the scanner`s noise and cramped feeling must have frightened her. :'(

Hope it`s all going to bring good-news? :-*

swmbo and the little un are on the way home ,it turns out the daughter has a problem with the pitch of sound that the scanner makes ,which is the reason for the scan in the first place, her hearing isn't 100% .So the scan was scary and painful for her  :'(

A nice big fat ice cream is prescribed for 7 year old girls that have gone through hell. It wipes the memory cells or something...  :)
