Is going on, filled up at my Local Shell last week, £122.9 drives in tonight, £134.9

Trump is effect. Specifically sanctions against Iran.

We are all going to see the ripple effects of this across sectors unless Iran comes to its senses and allows full unanounced inspections and so on. Cant see that happening. Israel would appear to be pulling the strings.

Here's me thinking it was bad yesterday round here when I had to pay £1.23.9 for ordinary unleaded[diesel is 6p a litre dearer]

In the last couple of weeks I've seen over £1.30 for a litre of diesel in a few places, usually at BP or Shell stations.    I usually fuel at Costco and paid £1.21 on Monday. 

It's a combination of the effects of Trump ripping up the Iran deal, the weak £, OPEC cuts in crude oil production and low crude oil inventories in the US at the start of the 'driving season'. Hopefully the American oil companies will ramp up production of their fracking wells in the US and flood the market with cheap crude again!

I used super unleaded when the weather's like this, so the current price pleases me not.

My usual garage was 131.9p for derv this morning. Drove past and filled up in Asda, 124.7p.

Damm, 55,7 thats cheap, you Northerners get all the good deals, I have to pay 55.9 at my Local Morri's, although if I venture another 7 miles I can get LPG at Sainsburys for 54.9.

I used super unleaded when the weather's like this, so the current price pleases me not.

I didnt check SU, probably another 10p more or something, rarely use these days unless theres a Deal on.

Talking of deals Shell Drivers Club keep sending me Bonus Points, well sort off, I can get an extra 70 Drivers points if I fill up with more than £50 of Super Unleaded in any 7 Day period, now let me thinks thats an 70 points, er, a massive 35p incentive per week to pay an extra £4 more for SU and get less off it over normal.  and to think these people actually get paid to think this rubbish up.

You only have morrisons close on 55.7. No other supermarket sells it 

The next nearest garages are on the A63 / M62 and the price takes the piss

Yea NE London is pretty good for cheap LPG, problem with Morri's is the Pumps are always breaking down when there not running out.

Theres even a Shell Garage in Barking off the Ring Road that tries to compete, normally around 1 or 2p more than Morri's or Sainburys, which is handy, in fact I tend to use that when Im passing as aswell as the 2 Pumps mixed with the Petrol ones theve got a dedicated LPG only Pump near the Tyre Pump, which is really nice being able to drive in without queing, Pay and Drive off, well worth it for the sake of a couple of P per Litre.

Many moons ago, I had a mk3 1.7 diesel astra estate (Vauxhall engine) which I ran on anything upto 80% - 20 cooking oil in summer.


I was sat at some traffic lights in the town waiting to turn left when a traffic copper pulled up along side me.

Next thing I know, I get a tap on the window from the copper 
Now due to the mot running out a few weeks before my arse started going 5 pence - 50 pence as I put on my best 'yes officer face' on and down the window came .......... with that, the cheeky fooker un does he seatbelt, leans in and says ............... Haddock and chips twice please     
I just laughed and with that, the lights changed and we went out separate ways 

Next day, it went in for MOT
