I have an MOT!
« on: 14 August 2008, 21:32:54 »

Finally after much fretting, fuming and foul language by Jimbob, who fought it all the way fitting new rear springs, my MV6 passed!  :D

Thank you jimbob! :y

No probs, just need to write an addendum for the maint guide to help future Estate spring changers.  Will save someone a lot of wasted time and effort.

Nice one.  :y :y :y :y

My GLS is due in September I think.

Dread to know what it will cost, reckon it will need a full exhast, Pulls to left under braking and tramlines left to right (wish bone bush I am hopeing)

Cars not turned a wheel since April and I knew of the faults then.   :-/

Oh dear! Best get the overalls out and get to work then, better to sort over time than have to do it in a hurry for a retest i guess!
My fail was annoying, i thought it was spot on! :(

Was gonna send for Lizzie, but not seen her for a few days.

Sounds worse than I hope it is.

Caliper has been sticking since new disks and pads went on, pulling/tramling probably made worse due to pulling from brakes.  Exhaust back box exploded and just loved the sound so I left it.

Have a complete exhaust in the loft inc the cats, nearly new, paid £100 for it.  So have all/any exhaust parts required.

Might just put it in for test and see what else it needs, gets stood for weeks on end.  :-/

Remember you only tend to get 10 days for a free retest, If you are going for that I would fix all knowns before hand, could knock £50 off your repair bill if you have enough time to fix the unknowns.

Always nice when you get a pass!  :y

SWMBO's Astra passed too this morning. I'd have been very surprised if it hadn't, it's only done a little over 3000 miles since the last one! I think it'd almost be cheaper to send her to work & back in a taxi.  ;)  ;D
