Just been reading about the case concerning the Shoreham air disaster, apparently the pilot doesn't remember anything about it ! Probably deny being there next , spineless individual in my opinion.

He did it no doubt about it why not " man up" and be truthful , can't abide liars & cowards & he is certainly both.

In fairness to him it is a medical fact that the human brain can wipe out all memory of a major trauma.

Crashing in a Hawker Hunter at great speed must count as one of those occasions, so do not judge him on that alone.

Nah, he's guilty as charged... Wreckless stunt performed too low with too little airspeed.

Hiding behind memory loss when all the facts and evidence put him in the seat at the time is to effectively deny all responsibility without having to admit responsibility even to himself...

The longer he effectively denies it, the worse it will be when it does sink in.

He should man the opps up and accept that he IS responsible at take what's coming. Be better for the victims families too.

I would be amazed if he could remember it. Most people who have had a major physical impact don't remember it.
I spent a very long time, trying to remember the one I had but my memory stopped a second or two before impact. Don't know why but it seemed very important to me at the time that I should be able to remember it.
To this day, I would like to see a video of it, although I imagine it would be extremely shocking if I could.
He was in charge of the aircraft and people were killed, so unless circumstances beyond his control can be demonstrated, then he has to be held responsible imo.

I'm more surprised  that he survived the crash than that he cant remember it,doesnt matter as already said he was the pilot and he  oppsed up bigtime

To me, it puts him in a similar class to the spineless t@sser who killed his date in a speedboat on Thames. He then buggered off to Albania, or somewhere like that, before his trial started.

I think the ground and almost certain death looming through the canopy at 300 knots, and the trauma that followed, would be more than enough to make his memory of the events impossible to recall.

Claiming that he had blacked out might be pushing it. There are pretty clear signs in the video that the pilot pulled back quite hard at the point it became obvious that it had all gone to pot.

I'm not sure what he would be expected to say if he has no recollection of the events?

The facts are that he was the commander of the aircraft and untimately responsible for putting it in the position in which it ended up, barring any mechanical failures.

Disgraceful outcome , feel very sorry for the families involved certainly no justice for them.
