best place to sell an Omega
« on: 24 August 2008, 22:10:23 »

Hi, just wondering if anyone had any ideas where or how I can sell my Omega, I've been trying for at least three weeks now on ebay local papers and loads of free car selling websites, I've spent nearly sixty quid to date and I'm gutted as I spent £180 on a new windscreen as I thought it was too good to go for spares - I don't understand it has got high mileage (145000) but it's an S reg and it's only going for £400 I've not even had one viewing, but a lot of callers messing me about (that rants on a different thread don't even get me started!) can anyone help only I'm starting to get desperate now and don't reallywant to keep throwing money at it!

The free selling sites generally get people out to tyre kick ( nothing better to do of a sunday) and who want something for nothing -- as does eBay quite often.  Have you tried Autotrader -- doesn't cost the earth and I have heard good reports of response rates.

However, as I mentioned on the other thread, now is not a good time to be selling anything !!!

yes I've found out to my cost now is not a good time at all, never known anything like it.

Funnily enough Autotrader is the one place I didn't try - looked at and decided to go for E-bay, mistake that was. I think that may need to be my next port of call

Deffo on the Autotrader, at least when people buy the mag or log on they generally know what they are looking for.   :y :y

Autotrader every time. Forgetting the online bit for a mo, if people go out to buy the mag, they are interested in buying a car ;)
