I'm turning into the type of person who turns the radio up if their car starts making a funny noise. Trying to find a way to drown out all of the shite that comes out of my tellybox and infests forums and newspapers. I'm fighting a losing battle at the moment but, if I disappear for a while, it's because I've put a triple layer tin foil helmet on. Or moved to the moon.

Fair comment STEMO. Every news bulletin is like the end of the world. Take the UK power outages. Not once did any of the news say the names or even type of power station that ceased generating or why. Instead they concentrate on the catastrophic consequences using inflamatory language. God only knows what it would be like in a real crisis.

Nobody mentioned why a train needs an "engineer" with a laptop to visit it to reset it before it'll proceed after a brief supply quality issue (designed by German engineers, perhaps?) or why a Hospital didn't have a working backup supply, mind.

The latter is symptomatic of shoddy reporting. Too hard to get some facts , e.g. when was it last working. Far easier to paint a picture , not necessarily accurate , of pandemonium.

When did you last hear a news bulletin which mentioned leaving the EU without a deal signed first which didn't present it as "crashing out" or "going over a cliff edge" ?
None of them would recognise objectivity or neutrality if it kicked them up the balloon knot.

Take no notice. We are in the middle of an election campaign. Or a campaign to frighten the opposition out of bringing a no confidence vote, which would result in an election campaign.

all of them are so negative,drives me bonkers,same as they wont report on the yellow vests anymore,or the fact the hidden EU army(all the facemasked ones) are kicking the crap out of innocent bystanders,cannot understand why they dont start looking for positives,but that would entail something called work and research,instead of just copying everyone else!
