(he parked at the end of the street,but said he was un-aware he'd hit me)
after 2 weeks, I'd calmed down 
he apologized and offered to sort it,
I explained how I was not prepared to go through insurance and did not want his money.
educated him verbally (no fisticuffs ) shook hands and I left it at that  .
Mrs Builder was a calming influence on the matter
