No longer a cam belt virgin
« on: 28 August 2008, 18:51:58 »

Big thanks to the people who made the cam belt DVD. Just watched it for the 3rd time this morning, and then went and changed it.

Started at 2pm, finished at 6pm. Took my time to get everything spot on and done properly, my AST cam belt tool worked very nicely, and I changed the water pump as well.
Plenty of tea breaks as well.

Very pleased with myself  :)

Thanks again.

Nice one Mike. You have every right to be pleased with yourself. In good time too.

I have done quite a few SOHCs in my time so I know the basics, but I have to say the V6 scares the crap out of me. So much stuff to take off before you can get to it - and so many opportunities to break it up putting it all back together...  :o

Well done mate :y  I don't think 4 hours is bad at all - after all its not a race.  I took 3 days changing cam cover seals the first time ;)
