Bootlid rear light covers
« on: 13 April 2020, 20:20:58 »

Chaps.
I have a 1997 car. Inside the boot (On the bootlid) there is the rear side of the light clusters (ie where you would get access to change the rear bulbs. However there are no covers (ie you can see the bulb housings etc). See picture below. Is this normal or should there be plastic covers?
Cheers
Davey

Yes I did think that, I know what mine should look like. Can anyone post a picture of a later/facelift car? That would be very useful 😁

Just wondering why  OP was asking "should it have covers "
if he already knows what they look like . :o :o

Prehaps it's me  . . .maybe this lockdown is causing bizarre behaviour and the ability for me  to assess things in the normal manner   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I should have explained! I have been in contact with a breaker who can supply me with one only but who has kindly sent me a photo. So I now know what the ‘mark 1/pre-facelift’ cover looks like. However, I dont know what the ‘facelift/mark two’ cover looks like and whether or not I could get away with buying a full, later set off another breaker.

Thus the reason for asking for a photo.......

Gee you are a suspicious lot But diligent!! Hahaha

And face-lift ones are different and don't fit.
