I know what you mean.

Last year started a fantastic job, met someone, and ended up the year signed off, grounded and almost totally deaf. Hopefully temporarily.

This year has started off signed off, grounded and almost totally deaf.

I think I will take it week by week and set my expectations a month ahead...

Here's hoping for a good new year , It can't be any worse than last year , can it ?

HNY everyone.

I'm bloody glad to see the back of 2022, thats for sure.

I知 undecided on whether it was a really bad year or not. My Dad died in February and a couple of months later I very nearly joined him through my own illness, so that should make it a very bad year for me. But, after three solid months in hospital, two heart operations, four blood transfusions and antibiotics piped straight in to a tube in my neck, I知 still alive.
So, does that make it a shite year for nearly croaking it, or a good year because they saved me.  ???  I知 frightened to decide just in case 2023 is worse.  ;D
I wish you'd stop going on about a small heart problem. I had man flu a few weeks back, and you'll know about it if you get that.   :P

Basically, life happens whether we want it to or not.

Best we can do is roll with the punches and hope for the best.

Except Manflu, because that's obviously fatal.

I know a few people who致e had this latest version of proper flu and it痴 really knocked them off their feet for several days, so I genuinely sympathise with you.  :y

I think you come under the "it was a shit year" for nearly falling off the perch, despite being a handsome, only 21yr old (in mind, if not in body ;D).

Fingers crossed that 2023 is a huge improvement for you.
