Parcelforce have mildly pissed me off. Parcel 1 of 3 and 3 of 3 have been delivered but parcel 2 of 3 has gone to another depot.     Of course, as it’s a Bank Holiday I won’t see the missing parcel until at least Tuesday. Hey ho, worse things happen in life. 

Could be worse! Parcel 2 shown as “ delivered” in order to hit delivery targets! That is what happens to us here. Mrs V complained to Amazon and they refunded the money and gave her a ten pound voucher. She re ordered the same item and it arrived. Then about four weeks later the first one turned up…….

Very true.     It was actually the delivery driver that pointed it out to me. He checked the tracking number himself and said parcel 2 of 3 would follow on soon, so fair play to him. 
I’m not used to that level of helpfulness, I’m used to a knock on the door and seeing the back end of a van disappear as I open the door, parcel on doorstep if I’m lucky.

August! Never had so many things go wrong.

Washing machine, then dishwasher, swimming pool pump. Fitted new washing machine despite it having a shorter waste than old one) dishwasher coming on Thursday- can’t disconnect as stop valve is to sink cold feed…) Monday is join the queue at electrical repair engineer. They have been closed, like everywhere, for August so will be busy as hell.

Bought a new upholstery cleaner and moved sofa outside today  ( no mean feat for a couple of pensioners) . Got the device out and it is faulty. No suction.

Roll on September and cooler weather.

Oh!  Hold on..... I heard that copious amounts of Ouzo* is good for deadly Manflu. 

Doesn't cure it, you'll still die, but it makes the whole experience more palatable.

He measured 20 inches in total. Eleven inches for the body and nine for the tail.

I blame the Gen-Zs. They feel insecure without constant reassurance so everyone goes full pester on the communications these days as a result.
