Suffered in similiar situations many times..

so heres some info:

if both cats are male and adult , you are in trouble ..

if both cats are female and adult: you can solve the problem within few weeks..

if they are different (male , female)  : you will have babies after ;D

So for solving the problem (if you will keep the other)

you must love and give importance to the other in the eyes of your

old cat..Under any fight circumstance punish the cat who start the

fight..Feed them together but keep their plates seperate (min 1 meter apart)

within few days fights will diminish..

But if they are adult males during their seasons to find females they will pee everywhere(territory sign) and again fight for their territory..

So if somebody stays in home during day time its ok..Can keep an eye on them..Otherwise you need to keep them in different rooms or cages during these times..

I know what you mean Cem... I got one of my previous cats in this way although both adult Males they were OK...

This time I can't let it happen. They've been fighting constantly and TBH I don't want another cat!

if you decide to give the cat somewhere else its ok..

but if you want to stop the fights you need to punish(spray them water, take in the hand and give a knock in the head  :o ;D) them immediately after fight..if you scare them enough this will solve very quickly..I behave the cats very softly so none of our cats listen me >:(

But when wife says something they become like a soldier ;D

ps : some home cats are really really capricous ..and stubborn..

we have one female named "princess" ..trust me we have suffered with this very long..Dont eat normal things..Only eat expensive dry food and meat..(from its rather previous owner)..

But my wife trained -them- very well ..Now -they- even eat spagetti.. ;D

Great job you have done on your wife there cem :y ;D

I know what you mean though.  Our old cat loved chilli :)

LD - have you tried Cats Protection during the day?
My Dads partner runs her local CP and I have been around when she gets calls from people late at night frankly expecting miracles.  At the end of the day they are volunteers and human beings like the rest of us.
I am sure you were entirely reasonable, but it may be worth trying during the day time?

Hi Ians... Couldn't even get hold of anyone last night but I do understand that they are all volunteers and I wasn't really after miracles, just somewhere to take it!

Anyway... Spoke to them this morning and they said they couldn't take it in anyway as they are already full.

I've told them, and decided myself, that if I catch it again I'll take it for a drive to the nearest vet/rescue centre and dump it! At least then it might get some care! It seems a shame but it is the only way I can see to get it off the street.

By the way... Looking at the highlighted section, are we all on best behaviour at the moment??? I was actually polite today when I managed to get hold of someone but last night I gave the ring tone what for... :D :D :D

If there's no cat sanctuary in Woodbridge, I know there's one in Walton village near Felixstowe - that's where our moggy came from.

That'll be Blue Cross... Everyone has said that they can't help at the moment.

Good news is that after I caught it last night and held it captive for an hour and a half we haven't seen it since!! :y :y

I know it was fine but a few of the people I spoke to said that the fact I'd "imprisoned" it for a period of time it may well steer clear for a while. Here's hoping ::) ::)

Try a magnetic cat flap. Magnet on cats colla activates the lock so only yours can get in. Sounds like the invader has not been castrated to me. Rspca will do all that and tagging if its taken in. If it comes back, maybe keep trying them, maybe make out you hit it with your car or something.

RSPCA in this area are no good... Couldn't even get hold of them! Anyway... I don't believe in their "re-home within 28 days or destroy" policy! :o :o >:( >:(

Hi I hope it works out with the cat.  I know what it's like, a similar thing happened to me.

Well at least I've got a story to make you laugh.  I was walking the dog one day when I saw this seagull jumping all over the road as if looking for scraps.  I didn't think anything of it at first but I noticed it seem to hop about forever.

It kept jumping wildly and I noticed a red mark on its wing.  Well I just walked home with the dog as you would and thought nothing more of it.

About two hours later I was driving down the same street after collecting my partner and we both saw the bird again still hopping about sadly.  It was only then did I realise it was injured.

You should have seen us after that running round the streets chasing a  crazy seagull like demented idiots while the locals laughed at us.  Chasing chasing peck peck peck it was mad.  I eventually grabbed the  gull covering it with a towel while it pecked my partner in the face.

The above cat story was worse I'm afraid.

I wonder if I could Parcel Force it ::) ::) :D :D :D

In all seriousness Jon... I'm reluctant to give it to anyone just in case it does actually still live around here! I'm sure it was abandoned by someone who left 7 months ago... Looks like one of hers and "answered" to the name Pebbles, so to speak! But it was very vocal and TBH a bit full of claws... I have the scratches to prove the latter!!
