Brasso to the rescue!
« on: 13 September 2008, 21:08:44 »

Driving home last night and after checking that my lights were on, decided to try and do something about my misty headlamps.

Out with the Brasso!

It's got rid of the worst of the fogging (I never knew there was a pattern under there...), but now i can see deeper scratches i know it's either projector time, or out with the wet'n'dry...

A fair old improvement for about 20 minutes rubbing...still not excellent, but at least i can see where i'm going now.

As soon as I get time...didn't have much, so tried the "quick fix".

Try an orbital sander with 400 grit then 800, then 1600 to get it smooth.  Then put on a foam attachment and use T-cut until perfect.  It wont get rid of the discolouring but will rid all the scratches  :y
