« on: 13 September 2008, 21:41:58 »

Just checked the date I joined, March 30th, I think there were approx 3420 members at that point.

Just glanced at the stats, annother 10 Newbies and the forum has 4000 members.  Not bad averageing over a 100 sign ups per month.

Sadly we may have allready achieved the 4000 had there not been some "early retirements"

Nice one and a big thankyou to the Admin team for all thier hard work and support through out.   :y

What percentage of those 4000 members post regularly Scruntie.
Nearly always the same bunch of members ...it seems to me. :y
Probably only about 30 or 40 members I see on  a regular basis. :y

Some of us have been here a long time but don't always get time to sit down and post.
Unless there is a problem with the car which I need help on, then often it can be a couple of weeks between postings.  I do try to keep up with the goings on, but if I have a spare hour (rare) then given the choice of posting or pubbing guess where I am? ;D

I do agree though, 4K members and only 0.025% regularly post.

128 members are at least Senior (more than 500 posts). Which is 3.2% of the members.

Waspy Pete (Baron) is member 40 with 2629 posts.

There are 5 admins. 1 King. 13 lords. 30 barons. 27 knights. 52 Seniors.

The usual suspects are, in order:
TheBoy
Marks DTM Calib
Martin Imber
JamesV6CDX
Elite Pete
tunnie
Markie
Kevin Wood
MikeDundee
STMO123
Taxi Driver
Auto Addict
hotel21
Jimbob
Danny
Miggy
Skruntie
Markjay
Mike f
Bo Bo

Think that's supports your comment, pretty much.

Still, just 1 post can make a significant difference to any one of us with trouble with our Miggys, Newbies to Kings.   ;):)

It's interesting when a Newbie starts to post, they have often spent a month or 2 reading the forum with out joining, and even then they still spend a month on two reading up still.

Most of the regulars like my self spend most of the time in the banter section taking the mickey.

I have also noticed maybe 10/20 % of Newbie posters have come on board with regards to gain soloutions to thier Miggy issues. With a tiny number just coming on board to sell parts/items and then bitterly complaining when they cant.

Of those that have never posted, I genuinely think that 75% of them are scared to make the 1st post ( believe it or not, I was one of them)  Now look at me.

Maybe once the new layout is implemeted (if that is, as I know it has been mentioned there is quite a lot of work involved) then maybe a bulk email to all members  inviting them to pop in and have a look at the new look forum and a fresh invite to pop into the welcome area and say hi.

Speaking personally, I log on most days and just read and giggle rather than get involved. But I would miss the site if it wasn't here. :y

I don't really post much in general chat though the threads sometimes amuse me, If I think I can help then I post in the various help sections though.

Perhaps they needed an answer to a problem, got it and then that is that. May not be used to forum's, this is the first one I ever joined and got involved, after a while lurking, in. :y
