Does anyone by any chance have the engine torque specs for this...

I ordered a Haynes manual in the vain and misplaced hope that it would be useful, only to find that the one engine it doesn't cover is the 1
3... I mean what the actual ffrrr >:(

Considering even Nissan don't seem to want to open one up, you may be struggling there Al

Fortunately, Mercedes were stupid enough to put the engine in the A Class... So it's covered in WIS.

Ostensibly the same engine as near as I can see and timing it it looks to be straightforward enough, which was another concern.

I might invest in the Haynes online autofix manual as that proports to cover it. But you're right, the total lack of information on the Nissan version, especially considering how prolific it seems to be, speaks volumes.

Well, car and Sealey locking kit and some parts have arrived.

Also got sealant and gasket remover on the way.

Just a couple of exhaust clamp/seals and a crank bolt to order, but won't need them until it's otherwise finished... Can order them as the sealant cures.

First order of business will be to jack it up, remove the starter and drain the oil, not necessarily in that order. That way I should be able to leave it on the ground as it's probably going to take three weeks to get it done around that little detail called life...

A bit more mocha than the dipstick would have suggested.

Coolant clean but stinky.

Yeah, that's what I told Gixer when we started doing the right side intake manifold on mine...

I'd laugh, but I'm still scarred by the experience.
