Crankshaft sensor question.
« on: 20 April 2025, 12:32:48 »

Having a bit of a stock take this morning, and was looking through the crank sensors, and all OE, no knock offs. But checking the part numbers,  they were all 90492006, but upon checking the plugs, there was a mix of square and oval plugs and all three pin. So could the square ones be used on my 3.2's?  :-\

Are the plastic at sensor end, or more like a metal fitting (I'm going from memory).  If the latter, they are for early 2.5s.

Later 2.5/3.0/2.6/3.2 all took same sensor.  Sadly, GM's EPC always have the incorrect one.

I don't know whether they are going to fit the car, as the person who is 'stuck' has zero knowledge as to what the car requires and who's going to fit it, so  I'm sending both FOC as a favour, and at this point he's on his own as far as fitment etc. :-\
