Elite ...complete lock out.
« on: Today at 09:31:03 »

School boy error....I isolated the battery last night, and of course the car won't let me back in this morning. I have tried the usual thing of trying to unlock with the  key, and that's a no. I have the front grill removed as I'm prepping the bonnet for a repaint, and have tried to fiddle around to get the bonnet released...but it'll have to released from inside the locked car. I'm at a bit of a loss as to solve this one. >:(

If its deadlocked, that won't work.

If it's the right mechanical key, turn it HARD in the lock. The button may not pop up, but it will unlock the door.

Both of my cop cars, will respond to forcing the door lock method, but this Elite doesn't respond well to having the power from the battery completely isolated or having a flat battery....problem now solved with a bit of er ::) co-lateral damage, lesson should have been learnt the first time ;) cheers guys.
