Not petrol prices, but our heating oil has gone from around 58-60p  a litre for the last year or so, to around 120-150p a litre  now.

It's emerging that one of the reasons that HMS Dragon's departure to Cyprus is delayed is because the Govt reduced the dockworkers hours to save money.

They've gone from 24/7 operations to 9 to 5/Mon to Friday.     So that's possibly one of the reasons why the rest of the fleet is tied up alongside as well.... 

You'd think that in this day and age they could work from home.

Oh yes silly me it's all their fault.

If they can pull it off, the demise of the Mad Mullahs and their theocratic Islamic regime will be good for Iran, good for the Middle East and good for the wider world.

In other news it's being reported that Russia has been providing the Iranians with intelligence as to the locations of US military assets and they have destroyed advanced radar installations in Jordan and the UAE, using that information.

I bet Trumpy Trump didn't see that coming, and I imagine he won't be so pally with Mad Vlad the Invader going forward.

Credit where it's due, by luck or judgement, this 'regime change', coupled with the change of management in Venezuela, will significantly impact the availability of fuel in Russia and to a point, China.

It's a shame, but no suprise, that the leftist Alphabetti can't appreciate the irony of their uproar.

I read that the yanks were fully expecting Putin to do this and had put countermeasures in place. The US does it for Ukraine after all.

Yes definitely China. This is part of Trumpy's plan to contain China, to restrict their fuel supplies and as you rightly point out was one of the reasons to go into Venezuela. Xi is nervous about this and has already told Iran to reopen the Straights of Hormuz.

Russia no. They have plenty of their own supplies and as long as they can keep their refineries working they will have no problems with fuel availability.  Zelenskyy might have other ideas though.

Crude oil market has opened, with Brent Crude opening at $81.27 from Friday's close at $73.14! 

It's already fallen back to $78.60 though.

Brent Crude now at $76.72.  I filled up this morning and diesel was £1.399 in Tesco.

Keeping warm next winter might be a bit pricy though as UK natural gas futures are up 45%! 

Brent is now trading at $92.69, heading straight towards $100. If it stops there, I'll be happy, but it has the potential to reach much higher.
