Nice, 1.2 petrol and barely seven months old so should hopefully serve her well.  :y  That colour is becoming more common on a lot of manufacturers cars.

My son has a VAG car in this or similar colour. He’s become immune to that comment now.  ;D

I believe that although the engine design is related to the PureTec engine, the later petrol models, especially if it’s a Mild Hybrid, feature a timing chain as opposed to the earlier dreaded wet belt.  :y

Peugeot 3008 floor pan with a Vauxhall Grandland body sat on it I believe. I'd say it's a better, more practical body shape than the Peugeot, which can't make up its mind whether it's an SUV or a coupe.  :-\

It's an old colour. My first car had a front wing in that colour. Back then we called it grey primer not some pretentious arty farty name. ::) >:D

Nice car though. :y :y

Did you manage to secure a government grant toward the cost of the car?

In Scotland the SNP are offering a £57500 grant /discount against a new Jaguar. Very generous of them. :)

Gen 3 engines had the chain (EB2LTEDH2), gen 2 the belt (EB2DTS), you can't really go based on year as there was a time they were fitting both (dependent on if it was MHEV or not).

Short of a cylinder still though (I would argue short of three at least  ;D)

Many cars share the same platform these days. A Vauxhall can be a Renault, Citroen, or Pug underneath.

..... :o :o :o :o. Did she also choose the delightful shade of green for your Astra? >:D

I think Audi call their grey primer Nardo grey, and BMW call their grey primer Brooklyn grey. What do Vauxhall call their version of grey primer?
